Stopped by last night because my wife wanted ramen. I didn’t know that this place existed until I drove by the other week; so, we divided to give it a try. The service was quick and friendly. The place was very clean. They played a video on a screen that we were facing that had a first person view of walking through Japan…probably Tokyo. That brought back memories. It was a nice touch. We ordered green tea, which came with its own warmer. Not as hot as I like, but the tea stayed warm through the entire meal. This looked like legit matcha rather than just tea bags in hot water. For the meal, we had tonkatsu ramen and the spicy duck ramen. We loved them both. The tonkatsu wasn’t fried in a batter. It was thinly sliced with nice carmelized edges—very good. The duck was amazing! Next time, we’ll try some sushi.

Aki Sushi & Ramen sits tucked into the chaos of Sugar Land like a whispered secret passed between people who know better than to trust a strip center at face value. Blink while driving down the Southwest Freeway and you might miss it completely; another storefront buried between suburban routine and the endless churn of Houston sprawl. But then the food lands on the table and suddenly the outside world disappears. The traffic noise fades. The errands stop mattering. The Texas heat becomes somebody else’s problem. You are now fully committed to the ancient and noble act of eating too much Japanese comfort food. The first thing that hit the table was the spicy edamame. Simple dish. Dangerous dish. The kind of thing that looks innocent until you realize your hand keeps drifting back into the bowl like you are possessed. The pods arrived slick with chili oil, speckled with seasoning, salty enough to wake up every dormant taste bud in your mouth. There was heat, but not the cheap, blunt force trauma kind. Everything about this place was amazing. We came in as a very large group and they were incredibly accommodating and kind. The food was incredible, the presentation was breathtaking, and the decor was beautiful. If you're in the area and looking for sushi, this is the place to go!

I came here with friends to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable, and the service was very good and attentive. We ordered several dishes including ramen, sushi rolls, sashimi, and fried dumplings. The presentation was beautiful, and everything looked very appetizing. The food was good and well prepared, especially the sushi dishes. Hope that the soup dumpling can be improved to be outstanding in flavor. Overall, it’s a pleasant place to gather with friends, celebrate special occasions, and enjoy a relaxed meal together. The good service and atmosphere made the experience enjoyable. 🎉🍣

I had been looking for a place that serves foie gras for a long time, and I was really happy to finallyyy find it here. Even though it was frozen, it was still satisfying and enjoyable. The bun dish was very delicious, and the overall food quality was great. The service was excellent — the staff were very friendly and attentive. At the end of the meal they even gave us a dessert, which was a very nice touch. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back
